The ESP32 family (Wi-Fi chips and modules, classic Bluetooth and Low Energy Bluetooth) is designed for the next generations of IoT products, whether electrical or battery-powered. The robustness and reliability of the ESP32 are ideal for environments that are very demanding due to monitoring standards in place for industrial processes. This Espressif product range includes the ESP32 chip with 2 Xtensa LX6 32-bit processor cores with dual FPU and based on TSMC's low-power 40 nm CMOS technology. The clock frequency can be adjusted up to 240 MHz. The ESP32 chip is also the most comprehensive and integrated solution in the IoT industry with less than 10 external components. It integrates the antenna switch, RF balun, low noise power amplifier, filters and power management unit (PMU). As such, the whole solution takes up minimum space on the printed circuit board. Moreover, a wide range of peripherals are available: capacitive touch sensor, Hall effect sensors, SD card interface, Ethernet, high-speed SDIO, CAN, SPI, UART, I2S and I2C.
